¹⁸Impatience conditions have figured in intertemporal optimization problems since the beginning, e.g. in Ramsey (1928). These issues are so central that it would be hopeless to attempt to cite conditions in every other paper that correspond to conditions named and briefly exposited here. I make no claim to novelty for any condition or implication except for the conditions implicated in my theorems, whose parallels will be articulated.
